Our vision as a purpose driven sports organisation is to be a leader in optimising the quality of life of organ transplant recipients, and through sports and other physical activities, promote organ donation and transplantation.
From the time that the Western Cape Transplant Sports Association was constituted as an affiliate of the South African Transplant Sports Association in 2014, it has been the objective to become a part of the larger Western Cape sport community and to get people who have received an organ transplant, to return to active sport participation.
Aims and Objectives
A renewed focus to grow its membership and strengthen the Association’s presence and active involvement in the Western Cape.
To actively pursue the Transformation Objectives as set out in various documents and speeches by the Ministers of Sport and Recreation over the preceding years. It was a particular objective to ensure that the Association’s management and representative teams would reflect the demographics of those who had received life-saving organ transplants;
To ensure that the WCTSA takes its place in the sports family and that our members are afforded the opportunity to participate and represent their Province and Country on the National and International stage.
